Anza-Borrego is the largest state park in California
Near the campground is a trail that leads to an oasis
Across a dried up creek bed you see signs of the oasis to come
Great rock formations makeup the trail
Along the trail you would see signs of large trees, but no idea what they where doing here
This at first seemed a dry dessert. Here you started to see a little creek that told of things to come
The creek is barely visible here
There was a beautiful little oasis at the end of the trail
In places it was fairly dark and more like a cave only letting in a little light.
Moving back a bit you could see the oasis and some of the surrounding vegetation
This image and the next are another example of Photo Shop. The sky was very blue, but the original (below) did not show it, so I fixed that
I also took the opportunity to darken the oasis and surrounding rocks
You can compare a similar shot with the one two above. This one had no help from Photo Shop
Heading back out we took a trail that went higher in the hills and provided a great view of the valley
Font's Point has a wonderful view of a very rugged valley
We got there just before sunset There was 20-30 people there taking pictures of a spectacular scene
One of my favorites I moved away from the crowd to get a better view. You can see my shadow clearly on the left
This is just a partial view, but wow what a view
A great view, but the camera had a tough time focusing directly in the sun
