Trail leading to the beach
At the end of the trail was a beautiful view of the ocean (and a lot of rocks)
Climbing among the rocks gave great vistas of the ocean
As you can see it was close to sunset, I had to be tricky to not get shots washed out by too much light
We climbed over a lot of boulders to get to this cove. The only spot with sand was still a ways further down the beach.
Similar, but a bit of a variation of the shot above
I completely missed the arch in the rock, fortunately my wife pointed it out. I took almost 30 pictures to get the wave crashing just right
Jade cove is a place that you can pickup REAL jade. We only found small amounts, but have met people that picked up 50-60 lb pieces
More of Jade Cove climbed out on a rock and had to balance to get this one
The Gem and Mineral groups were collecting right at the surf level. Some found several nice pieces, nothing big though
A little further down the beach
Up and over to the next beach, still on Jade Cove
Salmon Creek Falls waterfall in the Big Sur, several miles from Jade Cove
Finally something different: This is a Panorama picture, but this time a vertical one. All of my previous images are of landscape shots, the waterfall deserved a vertical view. The original image was more than 30 Mb and is comprised of four images.
